Shannon C. Willard, 49, of Ellensburg, passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2018 at the KVH Hospital in Ellensburg. The family will greet friends at a visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Steward & Williams Funeral Home in Ellensburg.
Shannon was born on March 26, 1969 in Seattle, Washington to Robert & Rose Marie (Kinney) Timmons. She was raised in the Renton area, attending the local schools. She went on to follow her dream to attend culinary school at the Seattle Art Institute. She married the love of her life Mike Willard on October 29, 1990 and the couple lived in North Bend and Kent before moving to Ellensburg in 2014 to be closer to family.
Shannon embraced her role as stay-at-home mom and caregiver. She will be remembered for keeping a very neat house – quite the feat with five children! She enjoyed collecting – with owls being her favorite – and was a fantastic cook. Her family recalls her chicken noodle soup and taco salads as their favorite. Shannon’s favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren and spoke of them lovingly.
Shannon is survived by her husband, Mike, at the family home in Ellensburg; children Jason (Cassandra) Brooks of Chehalis; Emma (Christopher) Summers of Ellensburg; Adam (Elizabeth) Willard, Brian (Katelyn) Willard and Brittany (Juba) Willard all of Bonney Lake; step-father Richard Yeager of Auburn; siblings Linda Thompson, Shelia (Ron) Garcia; Angus “Butch” (Peggy) Duke, Robert Timmons, Harlan Dale Timmons, Jimmy Timmons and Charlie Timmons; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many dear friends, all of whom will miss her immensely. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial contributions in Shannon’s honor are suggested to a charity of your choice. Steward & Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Ellensburg has been entrusted with caring for Shannon’s family. Online condolences may be left at www.steward-williams.com
